WDR COSMO

The evening programs of WDR COSMO, broadcast from Monday to Friday and on Sundays, are characterized by half-hour magazine shows in various native languages of the largest immigrant groups, some of which originated from the former 'guest worker programs':

“Köln Radyosu” (Turkish, Monday to Friday 8:00 PM to 8:30 PM)
“Radio Forum” (Bosnian/Croatian/Serbian, Monday to Friday 8:30 PM to 9:00 PM)
“Radio Colonia” (Italian, Monday to Friday 9:00 PM to 9:30 PM)
“Programma Na Russkom Jasyke” (Russian, Monday to Friday 9:30 PM to 10:00 PM)
“Polski Magazyn Radiowy” (Polish, Monday to Friday 10:00 PM to 10:30 PM)
“Al-Saut-Al-Arabi” (Arabic, Monday to Friday 10:30 PM to 11:00 PM)
“Bernama Kurdi” (Kurdish, Sunday 8:00 PM to 9:00 PM)
“Elliniko Randevou” (Greek, Sunday 9:00 PM to 10:00 PM)
“Estación Sur” (Spanish, Sunday 10:00 PM to 11:00 PM).

Between 6:00 AM and 6:00 PM, WDR COSMO broadcasts hourly news with short reports and original soundbites. In the morning show “Cosmo,” there are also news updates every half hour.

The Refugee Radio was integrated into the Arabic-language program “Al-Saut Al Arabi - Die arabische Stimme” in early July 2016.

A key feature of WDR COSMO is its internationally composed team, with staff members from over 20 nations.
