Gute Moderatoren. Leider zuviel Eigenwerbung aller Art z.B. Weihnachts-Song Contest. Furchtbar !

Information about the radio
SWR1 is the collective name for the first two radio programs of Südwestrundfunk – SWR1 Baden-Württemberg and SWR1 Rheinland-Pfalz. The music program is promoted with the slogan "The greatest hits of all time." It mainly consists of English-language mainstream pop and rock music from the last 50 years (focus: 1960–1990), supplemented by German-language hits (by Herbert Grönemeyer, Peter Maffay, …), music from other European countries (by Eros Ramazzotti, France Gall, …), and some current tracks. Important artists include The Beatles, The Hollies, ABBA, The Rolling Stones, The Bee Gees, Phil Collins, Elton John, Dire Straits, Eric Burdon, Tina Turner, or Simon and Garfunkel. The SWR1 programs target a core audience of listeners aged 40–55, positioning themselves between the target groups of SWR3 and the regional SWR4 programs.
The original orientation, which included the young adult audience, was adjusted after declining ratings. Since then, music from the 70s (Gilbert O’Sullivan, John Paul Young, The Rubettes, David Dundas, Harpo, etc.) is frequently played, with which the upwardly adjusted target age group grew up. Ratings have since improved again.
