CBC 99.1 FM Toronto was and to some extent remains a very informative and educational radio station to this day. Not sure if it is due to budget restraints or lack of staff, but the station’s standard has deteriorated to such extent, that repetitive news, programs and flimsy stories is forcing me to shut down the voice of my beloved radio -companion several times a day. Even with staff shortage and budget constraints, I am sure the station can pick up some local and interesting news content from other Canadian cities, towns and villages and, other local CBC stations - an easy solution to sustain listener interest and attention. Come on CBC Toronto, wake up and let us know what all of Canada is doing and earn back your respect and authenticity with dignity that you have held for so many years. We need more of the programs like 'The Current' ,'What on Earth', 'Cost of Living' and of course 'Cross Country', and lesser repeats. Thank you for giving me the space to state my opinion.

I used to love CBC 99.1 as it was ALL TALK. Now they play "music" half the time so I have to switch stations because the so-called "music" is an abomination. I assume the station gets it for free. It is despicable excrement and such an atricious waste of air time. The vast majority of listeners are over 50 and know what actual good music is. So why play execrable unlistenable junk? To think what fantastic music they Could be playing, much of it Canadian, such as Lightfoot, Mitchell and Cohen. They could expose younger people to worthwhile, high quality music of substance, like Beatles, Stones, Dylan, Jethro Tull, Yes, Donovan, Moody Blues, Muddy Waters, Yardbirds, etc., etc., . I've always been against defunding the CBC but as it is now, it may as well be taken off the air.

What is your music policy and who is it for? It appears to have little relevance to popular music of the last 60 years.

There has been some exceptional programing on Ontario Day recently. The ones which come to mind was the phone on the Ontario rezoning the Green Belt with Mick Crollie. I listen in the car for the whole hour and the coverage really exceptional. The most recent was on clarification on the current Carbon Tax. The pros and cons easily explained and in an entertaining manner. Amanda Pfeffer exceptionally quick witted and sensitive to callers. The recent health and drug related discussion very good too. This "Call-In", show exceeds with informed panalist and callers!

Please investigate Ontario Land Tribunal involvement as well! Don't forget all those MZOs approved by Ford government

Radio one 990 Winnipeg is so scripted, bias, and pandering to the liberal narrative most of the time it’s absolutely sickening to anyone with half a brain. They mean the vet and screen everyone and everything with call ins and emails they just cherry pic to stick to the scripted liberal narrative that supports the bottom lines but I will say maybe 5% of the time some real good reporting squeezes out when they’re not race baiting and putting the sheeple against each other.

Getting sick of the constant repeat of the same show 2 sometimes 3 times a week. At least pick an episode that hasn't been heard in awhile if you must repeat. Same with the news, every half hour a repeat of what I just heard, maybe do news three times a day and only at other times if there is something new to offer. Most of the music you play now seems to be geared to 20 somethings which I doubt are listening.
As Canada’s national public broadcaster, CBC Radio aims to provide a wide range of programming that informs, enlightens and entertains Canadians. Our programming is predominantly and distinctively Canadian, reflects all regions of the country and actively contributes to the exchange of cultural expression.
