Information about the radio
“Radio Dreyeckland (RDL) is a left-wing, democratic radio station in the region around Freiburg,” states the editorial statute of the station. The program is guided by this principle. In addition to permanent editorial teams such as women’s and lesbian radio, Schwule Welle, the anarchist Schwarzer Kanal, Knastfunk, and the “Left Press Review,” there are information and lunchtime magazines, as well as morning radio. In total, there are 80 editorial teams. A large portion of the airtime is also taken up by music programs that are highly differentiated by music styles and are more or less alternative. Important are also the native-language programs in 14 different languages, from Russian, Portuguese, and Persian to Korean. Additionally, there is group radio: individual groups (self-help groups, school classes, projects) produce programs that are broadcast in a supervised daily time slot.
