Dear Aunty, it's very noble of you to boast that you only broadcast Australian performers on ABC Classic 2. However I think you do a great disservice to all these performers who you broadcast. Sure they get their payments from APRA or whatever it's called, but if you took the trouble to name the performers it would then give the listeners a chance to then buy their recordings, thereby supporting their efforts. Also it seems that you must be using a CD that's put on perpetual replay. The same stuff day after day after day.

V. Good in that there is minimal talk, but the music is very repetitive. The music playlist seems to repeat some items frequently. e.g. I have heard “Danny Boy” multiple times sometimes within a few days. The limited selection to Australian artists is unfortunate because listeners miss out on great performances by international artists. On the other hand ABC Classic FM provides great content but far too much talk, often about trivia unrelated to the music. Also ABC Classic 2 never plays a complete suite, concerto, or symphony, etc. We only hear one movement in isolation whereas many pieces can only be fully appreciated in the context of the whole. For example, an isolated movement from a Beethoven Symphony (esp. 5,6 , & 9) Is very disappointing >

Thank you very much for such a pleasant radio station broadcasting but it could be easier for us to follow whose melody it was,on the first page..Your broadcasting is 7 hours ahead,it's astonishing...

Classic 2 specialises in streaming popular styles of classical music. The music on Classic 2 is performed exclusively by leading Australian orchestras, ensembles and soloists.
No opera or vocal works are included in the playlist. During daytime and evenings Classic 2 typically broadcasts short excerpts from the classical repertoire, for example single movements from full symphonies.
ABC Classic 2 showcases Australian artists performing classical music. The station has a self-imposed 100% Australian performance quota.
Between midnight and 06:00, longer works are included, and Classic 2 programming is also broadcast as ABC Classic FM's "overnight" program.
