Metro FM targets smart, pragmatic and progressive youthful urban adults. And this targeting reflects in their play list genres which include:

In addition to music they have news, weather and traffic reports and various programs dedicated to sports, finance, culture etc. and cover all major interests of urban youth.

Metro FM radio station broadcasts on FM Stereo using different frequencies in various regions of South Africa. In order to find the frequency for your city you can go to the Internet and find the list of cities and frequencies on their website. Although they are a well-established radio station they seem to still have no app for listening to them on your smartphone or tablet.
