Cruise 1323 started broadcasting in 1930 as an experimental radio called 5DN by a Hume family and broadcasted just several hours per day and several days per week on AM frequencies. But very quickly this radio station became popular and had to broadcast 24 hours a day.
During its long history Cruise 1323 changed names and formats several times. In 1990 it was moved to FM frequencies, and renamed to Radio 102FM and changed the format from talk radio to music radio. The new format didn’t become popular so they changed the name to X102 and made more emphasis on rock music. And finally in 2005 Cruise 1323 radio station was born as we know it today. It now broadcasts on AM frequencies again and provides easy-listening music with classic hits.
