LBC 97.3 FM is a national talk radio with headquarters in London. Do not confuse this radio station with its sister station LBC London News which has more focus on news and weather. Both stations are owned by Global Radio (a large British media company which owns several radio networks and a number of radio stations across the UK).

James O'Brien is good to listen to aswell as nick farrari, for the other presenters, most of them are OK or garbage.

James O'Brien's show is always thought provoking and he seems to get the best out of his callers, the focus is mainly on hearing from callers rather than politicians or analysts. Nick Ferrari is fine, his political interviews are good, but he seems to only have callers on because he has to, cuts them off too abruptly. Nick Abbott is a guilty pleasure, it's like a three hour fever dream. Overall LBC is a great station with a diverse set of voices, there is certainly something for everyone.

Some of the presenters are fine and encourage genuine debate. Shelagh Fogarty and James o'Brien are both biased towards constant victimhood, and I turn them off when they come on and retune my radio.

LBC was great when I first started listening to it about 15 years ago but the fun element is definitely not there any more. I listen to Nick Ferrari, Eddie Mair & Ian Dale, who are pleasant to listen to; the others are so full of their their own importance and so opinionated they are unbearable to listen to. I've discovered another Talk station to listen to when LBC's very left leaning presenters are being bullish and controlling.

I listen from Tasmania Australia. My favourite is Andrew Marr who does not take talkback and covers a lot of the more important issues in his few hours on the air. Nick Ferrari is very professional, as is Sheila Fogarty and Ian Dale. I use the catch up facility to make sure I hear Tom Swarbrick, who has a pleasant speaking voice (and like Nick F )keeps things moving along. Ben Kentish seems to be well informed and Clive is a thoughtful, gently spoken presenter as well. I really appreciate all the presenters, even the overly opinionated James O’Brien who waffles on far too much and has a tendency to interrupt callers.

Enjoy listening to LBC, generally. Nick Ferrari has heavy hitting interviews done well, Shelagh Fogarty’s show is usually fairly balanced and interesting - likewise Iain Dale and Majid Nawaz. A shame they sacked Farage as his show was also good. I don’t always agree with their politics, but they are professional. Eddie Mair generally comes across as smarmy and totally full of his own importance. However, James O’Brien gets instantly switched off. The man is a complete bully and has no idea how to discuss issues seriously or reasonably - is just a closed minded ranter. It’s amazing that anyone still pays for advertising during his slot as I haven’t found anyone yet who listens to LBC but doesn’t switch over between 10 and 1. Likewise, I turn off Lammy as his show is essentially always utterly hypocritical and stuffed with persistent racebaiting and attempts to generate social disharmony.

LBC was established in 1973 and it changed its owners more than four times. But it always kept to its initial talk format. LBC initially stood for “London’s Biggest Conversation”. But at the moment their slogan is “Leading Britain’s Conversation”. They provide podcasts to their major shows and they claim to be the first radio station in the world to do this. Most of the podcasts are available on a paid basis but some of the podcasts are available for free download.
