Eine Jahrzehnt, das immer bleibt. Es gibt in der Popkultur einfach kein Jahrzehnt mit der Kraft der 80s. Die 80s sind ein Jahrzehnt das nicht mehr Dekade, sondern Genre geworden ist. Die Synthie-Musik, das Neonlicht, der beginnende Siegeszug der Computer, die Drogenthematik und das Kokain, Computerspiele: die kulturellen Wurzeln sind überall zu sehen. Eines können wir heute sicher sagen: die 80s werden noch auf Jahre eine Quelle der Inspiration und Wiederentdeckung bleiben, insbesondre auf der Tanzfläche. Denn Partys konnten sie feiern, in den 1980ern. Und die Musik ist auch heute denkbar geeignet für die Tanzfläche. Madonna, Depeche Mode, Eurythmics, Billy Idol, Frankie Goes To Hollywood, Erasure, OMD, Tears For Fears und Wham! sie alle hatten tanzbare Hits.
