living in Shelby Ohio while listening To my home town station. my dad had vocm on every morning growing up. I rember listening to open line, day and ross road report, and wally millman in the vocm chevy blazer. We [wife and I] moved to the USA 1997 after I graduated from st.clares nuring school. I am still a newfi, and always will be.

I remeber listening to this Irish Newfoundland show every Sarurday when I was a little kid back in Newfoundland. Now I listen from Tennessee and still love this show on Saturdays..

VOCM est une station de radio AM située à St. John's, Terre-Neuve-et-Labrador, Canada, diffusant sur 590 kHz. Appartenant à Newcap Radio, VOCM a commencé à émettre en 1936. Le 19 octobre 2016 a marqué les 80 ans de diffusion de VOCM. Grâce au "VOCM/Big Land FM Radio Network" de stations appartenant à Newcap, la programmation de VOCM est diffusée dans toute la province.
VOCM est peut-être mieux connue pour ses émissions de débat, notamment Open Line avec Paddy Daly, Backtalk avec Peter Soucy et Night Line avec Jonathan Richler, où des questions liées à Terre-Neuve-et-Labrador sont discutées avec les auditeurs et les courriels/tweets envoyés à la station sont lus et débattus.
