LM Radio, originally known as Lourenço Marques Radio, is a historic radio station that began broadcasting in 1936 from Lourenço Marques (now Maputo), Mozambique. first Radio I bought in Cape Town, it had all the stickers for short wave listening on the scale, was fascinating music at the time with the hit parade. Really liked the station till it became Radio 5 in JHB in 1975 after the Commo revolution. Now listening on the Gold Coast Australia. Thanks for the memories.

I used to listen to LM Radio every day in my workshop & my mum remembers listening to LM Radio when she was younger & while it was in Mozambique. But since the station was bought & bought to South Africa, there's no continued music like it used to be, instead we getting chatting & adverts & Afrikaans music being played, when it was a English radio station & like someone else on this site commented, there's so much uhm so hey uhm " tiny" uhm & I thought I was the only one having to listen to that. Also I'm really not interested in what the DJ'S political opinions are, I'm interested in the music played, if I want to listen to political BS, I will go listen to parliamentary channel!!!! So I left LM Radio & now I'm listening to Capital Radio 604, it what LM Radio used to be!!!!
