Seems like the Red Wings ask for more from the computer/radio fans so I always listen to the away feed. My first game with the Storm Surge, and I actually like the Canes, but my hometown is Detroit.

  So happy to find your Hurricanes hockey coverage! The only available option for TV coverage became too expensive for our disabled family and we were forced to drop it 2 years ago. Sad commentary for TV provider greed but a big cheer for 99.9 The Fan.

  I grew up listening to the Broome Dusters and Binghamton Whalers on radio. When teams have announcers as talented as the Hurricanes’, radio is the best way to enjoy hockey.

  Listened to the Hurricane broadcast instead of listening to the Red Wings. Very poor. They do realize that they’re on the radio. Countless times the guy was yelling will you look at this, see what he did, that was great... You’re supposed to describe it for the listening audience. Get a lesson from Joe Bowen from the Leafs broadcast.
