In addition to music, it offers news, traffic updates, and spoken contributions every half hour on weekdays, and hourly in the evenings and on weekends, mostly from Vogtland, West Saxony, East Thuringia, and Upper Franconia. Vogtland Radio is part of the regional advertising network Sachsen Funkpaket and Sachsen-Hit-Kombi. The 24-hour program is independently produced without external contributions at the broadcasting house in Plauen/Haselbrunn.
