Our station has famous patrons: the musician colleagues Marius Müller-Westernhagen, Scorpions, Peter Maffay, and Klaus Lage founded the Deutsches RockRadio society in the late 90s. The declared goal was to promote rock music in the pop-oriented radio landscape. Thus, on August 1, 1998, the musicians' first nationwide program, Rockland Radio, started in Rhineland-Palatinate. Rockland Radio - Best Rock 'N Pop! Now manages everything independently and today operates seven FM frequencies in Rhineland-Palatinate.
