Ons station heeft beroemde beschermheren: de muzikale collega's Marius Müller-Westernhagen, Scorpions, Peter Maffay en Klaus Lage richtten eind jaren '90 de vereniging Deutsches RockRadio op. Het verklaarde doel was het bevorderen van rockmuziek in het pop-georiënteerde radiolandschap. Zo startte op 1 augustus 1998 het eerste landelijke programma van de muzikanten, Rockland Radio, in Rijnland-Palts. Rockland Radio - Beste Rock 'N Pop! Beheert tegenwoordig alles zelfstandig en beschikt over zeven FM-frequenties in Rijnland-Palts.
