La nostra stazione ha padrini famosi: i musicisti Marius Müller-Westernhagen, Scorpions, Peter Maffay e Klaus Lage hanno fondato alla fine degli anni '90 la società Deutsches RockRadio. L'obiettivo dichiarato era promuovere la musica rock nel panorama radiofonico orientato al pop. Così, il 1° agosto 1998, è iniziato il primo programma nazionale dei musicisti, Rockland Radio, in Renania-Palatinato. Rockland Radio - Il miglior Rock 'N Pop! Oggi gestisce tutto autonomamente e dispone di sette frequenze FM in Renania-Palatinato.
