Radio Leipzig is a private radio station from Leipzig. It began broadcasting on May 16, 1993. From 1999 to July 22, 2007, the station was called Leipzig 91 Punkt 3. The main programming of Radio Leipzig is provided by Broadcast Sachsen GmbH & Co. KG, which also operates Hitradio RTL. Local news and the afternoon show with Roman Knoblauch are produced directly in Leipzig. The station's repertoire, with the current slogan 'Die beste Musik!' ('The best music!'), mainly includes music from the 1980s to today.
