Hellweg Radio West

The daily program of Hellweg Radio West from Monday to Friday includes the show 'Am Morgen' from 6:00 AM to 10:00 AM and the show 'Am Nachmittag' from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM. On Saturday, the morning starts with 'Am Wochenende' from 6:00 AM to 12:00 PM, followed by 'JoWi' (Jobs and Economy) at 12:00 PM, and then the show 'Die Charts' from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM. On Sunday, 'Am Wochenende' is broadcast from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM and from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM, with the afternoon edition featuring results and reports of local sports events, primarily football reports and results of teams from the Soest district.

On weekdays, Hellweg Radio West broadcasts local news from the Soest district every half hour between 6:30 AM and 7:30 PM. On Saturdays and Sundays, local news is broadcast every half hour during local shows.

From Monday to Saturday between 9:00 PM and 10:00 PM, and on Sundays and public holidays between 7:00 PM and 8:00 PM, 'Radio Lippeland e.V.' broadcasts the so-called citizen radio on the frequencies of Hellweg Radio West. This program is not produced by the editorial team of Hellweg Radio West but by independent groups and associations from the Soest district. These groups are also responsible for the content of the broadcasts according to the regional broadcasting law for North Rhine-Westphalia. 'Radio Lippeland e.V.' provides the necessary technology and facilities and supports the groups in producing their broadcasts. Among the regularly produced shows is 'Metal Roundup,' an hour-long program for rock and metal music, which has been broadcast since 1998.

Outside the local broadcasting times, Hellweg Radio West takes over the main program (or framework program) from Radio NRW in Oberhausen for local radio in North Rhine-Westphalia. Radio NRW also provides world news on the hour, around the clock.
