Informatie over de radio

The Hellenic Radio Service of W.A was created in 1991 by Andreas Tzavellas. He is the owner, manager, producer, co-ordinator and announcer.
After 13 years of producing and announcing various Greek programmes on 6NR and 6EBA, Andreas’ dream of linking the Greek Community in W.A was realised.

The radio station broadcasts on VHF 151.950 MHZ covering the metropolitan area, approximately 100 kilometres. Hellenic Radio Service links via satellite with The Greek Radio Network and top FM radio stations from Greece, as well as internet radio’s outside of Greece.

It includes local content, talk back programmes, requests, soccer matches and Greek music.

It is the only Greek station in Perth broadcasting 24 hours a day, entertaining people and promoting the culture, language and heritage.

In 2002 for his contribution to the Greek community in WA Andreas Tzavellas received top award from the Greek Press and Mass Media.
