1233's enthusiastic team of producers, presenters and reporters create strong local radio and online content, working closely with five news journalists in Newcastle and two more reporters based in Muswellbrook.

Station manager Phil Ashley-Brown says the station is well placeed to reflect what is going on in the community.

"The role of this station is to connect with people right across the Hunter," he says.

"We see ourselves as reflecting the trends, the stories, and the moods of this region.

"1233 has a history of being there when disasters happen but also of entertaining and informing the community."
