UCT Radio turns thirty-five years old this year. For the ninety percent of us who are mathematically illiterate - okay, that's a gross over-estimation, but still - that is about three generations' worth of human beings who, within the twenty kilometer radius that is UCT Radio's footprint, have been getting brilliantly bombarded with our radical flavour of broadcasting.

UCT Radio 104.5fm is dedicated to the community in which it serves. This community are the areas that fall within a 20km radius of the University of Cape Town, as well as the body of the university, students and staff.
We aim to uplift our listeners through insightful and entertaining programming. We seek to have 50% local music in our programming.
We are dedicated to the promotion of racial and gender equality, and are not affiliated to any political or religious views.
