Bobby was born as Robert L. Guttadaro on April 5, 1947. He went on to study and graduated as a pharmacist from the Brooklyn College Of Pharmacy in 1970. He worked for several years in a New York pharmacy. His mind tended to the music early and he acquired an unusually large collection of records. He spinned as a DJ in Le Jardin, Ice Palace, Infinity, New York New York, and The Fun House. He received a golden record from 20th Century Records for promoting Love's Theme of Love Unlimited Orchestra. In 1976 and 1977 he won Billboard's National Disco DJ of the Year award and in 1977 he joined Disconet together with Tom Savarese and Kevin Guilmet. He became music director of "Music In The Air", a division of Billboard and was a production staff member of the TV show "Soap Factory Disco". For Casablanca Records he coordinated the album "Get Down And Boogie" and was a music consultant for the soundtrack of "Thank God It's Friday". He also worked for Salsoul Records where he did the mixing of many 12 inch releases for numerous artists. He died on December 26, 1989.
