  SJBR truly encapsulates the true Essence of Smooth Jazz. Smooth Jazz is R and B styled music usually with instrumentalists fronting the band instead of vocalists! Couple that with jazz and R and B improvisational solos and you have the foundation of smooth jazz. SJBR reminds me of the 80's when Smooth Jazz was at it's peak, and jazz stations were independent! Every City had a different take on Smooth Jazz.....That's why I love SJBR! They are not afraid to play emerging artists, or harken back to the day of Grover Washington Junior, Ronnie Laws, Foreplay, Kim Pensyl, and other greats! I can't wait until SJBR is 24/7!
