To Paul Stevenson , I think you should look on their website in the archive department and I think you will be happy to find a more diverse conversation.
I listened to your reports about climate change tonight and at one point the commentator spoke of the founder of Earth Day and his 3 main call to action recommendations. If your group really wants to do something to save the Earth as we know it, first: report on the taboo that is world-wide on the discussion of human population and run a series on organizations encouraging people to NOT have children (e.g., havingkids.org) THEN do a real report on the world-wide impact of animal food production and how some estimates say that the land mass devoted to "growing" animals for food is equal to the size of both north and south America combined. Your report should examine what Einstein identified a long time ago that we humans will not survive unless we adopt a vegetarian and hopefully vegan diet. Look into the amplified greenhouse impacts of methane and see that methane, and not carbon dioxide could be the main cause of the planet heating. Of course methane is from these poor animals, most doomed to a heinous, unspeakably cruel existence on factory farms. I can send you many links to support all identified above.
