I've been listening to KISW since 78. I will continue to be the hard-core guy I have always been. I'm a rocker and ya cannot tear that out of me.

Information about the radio

They started in 1950 as a classical music radio station. In 1969 they changed their owner and switched to progressive rock. Then they tried several other rock genres until KISW focused on hard rock, album-oriented rock, and mainstream rock. But since 2003 they moved towards an active rock format. This radio station is currently owned by Entercom Communications. KISW is available on 99.9 MHz and on HD radio in Seattle and Tacoma. Their HD1 channel contains the digital analog of their FM programming. On the HD2 channel, you can find metal music.
