Radio Gold is a private radio station based in Berlin. It is operated by radio B2 GmbH, whose sole shareholder is Mr. Oliver Dunk, who also serves as the station's managing director. It targets a supra-regional audience with an oldie-based program format, hourly news, and short sporadic information blocks. Under the motto “Real Classics,” the music of the 1960s and early 1970s is a key focus of the programming. The show “Jammin’ Oldies” is supplied by the company Radiotrax, while “American Top 40” (featuring iconic U.S. host Casey Kasem) is provided by Premiere Networks. With Dr. Rock, the ongoing program is enriched with anecdotes from the music world. A special feature is the digitized original recordings from the 1970s from the archives of the military radio station AFN, which are aired on Tuesday evenings and Saturday afternoons.
