96.5 Wave FM is a local radio station servicing the Wollongong & Illawarra region of New South Wales. The station can be heard from Helensburgh in the north, to Bowral in the west, and Ulladulla in the south. Originally known as 2WL, on the AM band, the station has been broadcasting since the 1930s.
The slogan for the station is currently "80's To Now" showing that they play a mix of songs from those eras.
