It hosted many different radio stations with different music genres including middle of the road music, Top 40 format, and progressive rock until in 2000 it became occupied by W4 country. The callsign WWWW was also in use on other frequencies for radios with various formats for quite a long time before it was assigned to 102.9 FM.
