KNEO Radio began in 1986. It was the project of Abundant Life Assembly of God in Neosho. In 1988, Mark Taylor started as a volunteer, then later on as part-time until 1990 when he became Manager, then General Manager. In 2000 Mark and his wife, Sue, founded Sky High Broadcasting Corporation, which today owns KNEO Radio. KNEO has been through four signal upgrades, nine building expansions and has grown from a 10-to-15-mile coverage radius to today, where it covers a 50-to-60-mile radius and with Internet broadcasting all over the world. We broadcast high school sports which allows us to reach even more people in our local communities. KNEO is governed by a Board of Directors, made up from the area of various church backgrounds. We sponsor a Community Christmas dinner for the area each year on Christmas Day, which feeds around 500 people each year. KNEO is the local headquarters for Operation Christmas Child, the shoe box ministry for Newton and McDonald Counties. For over 20 years, KNEO has headed up the National Day of Prayer in Newton County.
