Boring, no talent, vocabulary-deprived host from So. Cal; what's not to hate?

I listened in to KGO today to learn you have devolved to the lowest form of news, Sports Entertainment. This show is BORING . Obviously you are too CHEAP to pay for real news/talk station and are importing a worthless feed from L.A.

No comparison. I miss the wonderful programs that are now cancelled for another sports station among many in the bay area??? Profoundly sad. I thought the current lineup (except for Bohannan) was one of the best for weekdays ever. Have to look for something better. Podcasts or something....

As a Conservative I listened to hear the other side. I did like the local news and events they covered. It wasn't all politics. The hosts were rude to conservatives. But it was their show.

Since Chip got sacked, KGO has turned into a full-blown rightwing conspiracy station. Sad to see its reputation tarnished by authoritarianism and extremism. Listen to 88.5FM for real news.

As a hispanic conservative I would always use this channel to listen to the way these other people thought. While the callers were often apocalyptic and over the top it gave me an in site I do not get. Even living in the bay my whole life I knew these liberals were around but never really interacted. The hosts weren't that bad except for pat Thurston whom I thought was terrible. Bitter sweet and I couldn't stand most of the viewpoints and I knew most of the views expressed are opposite of the way they live their lives it was my dose of liberalism. I used to love to call in and start my statement w "as a hispanic male". Haha classic

It's all about money. Right wing corporate radio is strangling liberal expression. Bomb throwing and name calling makes more money than a thoughtful discussion of issues. KGO was one of the few voices on the American AM radio airwaves that provided an alternative. Even in "Liberal Democrat" cities like New York it's difficult to find progressive views on the radio. I finally had to get XM Satellite radio for my car so I could find something palatable when driving outside the bay area.

i have to agree with many of the people here, that letting go of Chip Franklin was a big mistake..Also, that if i wanted right wing radio, i'd ilsten to KSFO or others..it gets old to hear the same ol' bashing of the Democratic Party with NO answers, just bashing all the time..Also, while i think John Rothman is the smartest guy on radio, and also a Native SF guy, i'm getting tired of him taking WAY TOO MANY calls from right wing guys, in the name of diversity..it gets old as well, and i'm also not able to ilsten at 4-7..I like Mark Thompson alot, and he is the only reason to listen anymore..

Chip must have rubbed some people the wrong way. He was informed, funny and fair with callers. The morning person should have been let go instead in my opinion. I still listen to the 10am plus hosts though, I’ve been listening to KGO since the days of Ira Blue with my dad
