i have to agree with many of the people here, that letting go of Chip Franklin was a big mistake..Also, that if i wanted right wing radio, i'd ilsten to KSFO or others..it gets old to hear the same ol' bashing of the Democratic Party with NO answers, just bashing all the time..Also, while i think John Rothman is the smartest guy on radio, and also a Native SF guy, i'm getting tired of him taking WAY TOO MANY calls from right wing guys, in the name of diversity..it gets old as well, and i'm also not able to ilsten at 4-7..I like Mark Thompson alot, and he is the only reason to listen anymore..

I am a longtime listener of KGO. I LOVE KGO from 6am - 7pm. I HATE KGO from 7pm on. If I wanted to listen to right wing conspiracy theorists, I could easily tune into KSFO. You have ruined my evening /night radio listening and have done a disservice to the long history of KGO. Bring back Chip Kelly or any sane, non-right wing radio host. Your night line-up sucks!!!

Chip must have rubbed some people the wrong way. He was informed, funny and fair with callers. The morning person should have been let go instead in my opinion. I still listen to the 10am plus hosts though, I’ve been listening to KGO since the days of Ira Blue with my dad

I am a consistent listener to KGO radio and particularly interested in John Rothman's program. I also listened to your other hosts. All of you seemed to try to bear a fair views of the current issues with a little bit on the left. I agree almost all of your postings and admire you all how you handled some IDIOTS trying to convey their illogical and ridiculous ideas on air. I view your radio program as highly educational because I am an educator. As I have requested before from John that if he or KGO would establish a kind of an institute to educate the public how to be a responsible VOTER. Lay out the issue at hand; report fairly on BOTH SIDES, and make a multi=perspective analysis with respect to the TRUTH. Leave the voters to make a choice. Logics, images and believes are the major factors to affect the voters. If you can systematically organize a set of programs to educate US, including me and that would be a great service to US and me and to the whole nation. Thanks.

Somebody tell the guy on the air that an AR-15 is a 0.22 caliber. He apparently thinks it has much bigger bullets. A typical anti-2nd amendment person who speaks out of ignorance.

During the day, or when I am driving; KGO is my "go-to" station. If for no other reason than the adage that I hear John Rothman espouse occasionally on the air: The more you listen, the more you know". I have found that to be true. Oh, and I don't want to ruin a perfectly good review - but since so many people brought it up: I found Chip Franklin to be very abrasive. (just my opinion) Thanks! Paul H.

I just discover this radio, it's lovely, but I see in the comments below that everybody wants Chip Franklin be back, so maybe you have to take into consideration this.

WHY did you remove Chip Franklin???? highly entertaining, unique energy and honest. OK, maybe one-sided when arguing with listeners who disagreed with him, but no one's perfect!! Chip at 3 and Nicki Med. in AM were the two I tuned into on a daily basis. BAD decision for KGO. BTW, keeping the 10 pm BORING DRONE, whose name I can't even recall, is HORRENDOUS! So, once again, like a few short years ago when the station was un-listenable, you are self-destructing!!. WOW

Long time listener during the day. Love John Rothman. But now I'm hearing a different guy from 7-10 and it appears he's a far right leaner. His guests (people from Spectator, i.e. Blanquita) are already giving out misinformation, such as the Booster shot does not help vs. Omicron. C'mon. I'm not listening at night anymore, until we get back an honest broadcast.

Where is Chip Franklin? He is the only reason I listen to KGO. You did something like this years ago by getting rid of popular show hosts. BIG MISTAKE KGO…you just lost another listener!

Unfortunately, KGO is the Faux News of those who consider themselves liberal. How hypocritical to have an all white lineup of liberals talking about issues that pertain to BIPOC and not one of the hosts represent these communities. It is very difficult to listen to. If I had a dime for every time I've heard one of the hosts say, "I'm not black but..." How about getting a BIPOC to bring another perspective than the privileged white voices heard daily. Those who live in the US and listen to this station should be reminded regularly that they live on stolen land. How about showing outrage about that while you're all up in arms about the latest smash and grab? Most are only here because of the original smashing and grabbing of the America's.

Removing Chip Franklin was a HUGE mistake. My favorite show to listen to, listened every afternoon to him. Can't believe you are making the same mistake over and over - you seem to always s remove my favorite host. Please bring Chip back!!!!!

Re the physical attacks on vulnerable/weak/elderly folks: let’s be clear - it is the behavior of (usually) males who are bullies; i.e. they have low self esteem because they believe they are worthless; their angry attacks are the pressure relief valve they need. They think they should be receiving all the benefits that our society offers while leaving everyone else scrambling for the crumbs.

The real stars of KGO are the callers. When the host goes on a monologue, I tune out. Their opinions are predictable and not controversial. Banter between the hosts and newspeople is fun to hear. For me, the morning show should just be news, traffic and weather. I'm not interested in hearing anyone's opinion in the morning. (Bob Jackson, agree with you on the tacky, low-brow, snake-oil infomercials.)
