This post by the song’s co-writer Carle was the really big one...spending 11 weeks atop the juke box rankings and 6 at #1 in record sales. Vocalist Marjorie Hughes (Carle’s daughter) would also be featured later that year on another blockbuster hit for the band, “Rumors Are Flying.”
