WURD is an AM radio station in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. It broadcasts at 900 kHz with a talk format primarily targeted to African-Americans, and is currently under the ownership of LEVAS Communications, LP.
Bishop has been heavily involved in radio broadcasting for many years and she was credited with keeping Philadelphia calm following the assassination of Martin Luther King Jr. in April 1968.

I just tuned in what have you done to my old gospel other than all I have turned to Ms Williams on Sundays to take me back to my childhood and I’m listening to the so called NEW GOSPEL not listening again such a disappointment.
