The Poudre Fire Authority (PFA) is dedicated to the protection of lives, property and the quality of life for all of the citizens we serve. Our service area is approximately 235 square miles including the City of Fort Collins and the Poudre Valley Fire Protection District including the Town of Timnath, the communities of LaPorte and Bellvue and areas surrounding these communities. The PFA district has a population of approximately 189,635 people and an estimated property value in excess of 15 billion dollars. We will be broadcasting our standard emergency response radio traffic which includes Fire and EMS traffic from our secured data center in downtown Fort Collins.
I would like to thank the Firefighters and UC Health crews for their help after my fall in front of the Epic ice arena building last Saturday. They were very helpful and professional taking care of me after my fall. In addition there were several people who helped while waiting for the Firefighters, one whose name was Janell with the English accent, unfortunately I did not get the names of all involved but I want to sincerely thank them as well. I am a retired Firefighter and was involved in many of these types of responses over my 27 years of service and now appreciate the Fire service even more after being on the receiving end.
