The mission of the Chicago Police is to serve the public in partnership with our community, to protect life and property, prevent crime, and resolve problems.
I feel for the officers on and off 12 hours, and I feel for the peaceful protester's right now. I hate the racism in the human geography of this land, and I am glad to see this confronted. I however will always remember all the kindness and respect the CPD has shown me over the years. I thank them, and always mourn when a police officer is hurt or murdered in the line of duty. God bless you all, may peace prevail.
