  Was listening at 4:30 and you commentator was talking about the Flag of the South that has been banned from NASCAR. I have no problems with this as I can understand the flag being seen as offensive. But to call the Southerners traitors and their actions treason shows a 4th grade understanding of our Constitution. The Framers, inc. T. Jefferson, thought the union was Voluntary; that when it failed to provide for the needs it could be dissolved. To this day this question continues to be debated. Further, slavery, while an important issue, was one of several major issues pulling the South out of the union. Few Southerners owned slaves, but many WERE loyal to their state and "country", and so fought for the South.
