KUOW-FM is a radio station in Seattle, USA which serves Seattle metropolitan area. It is a member of National Public Radio organization (non-profit media organization in the United States which has more than 900 public radio stations). KUOW-FM is owned by the University of Washington but operated by Puget Sound Public Radio (a not-for-profit community organization).

KUOW was first launched in 1952 as FM station. The first programming included music, local news, classroom lectures (since it was established by the University of Washington). Now it is available on 90.3 MHz FM frequencies and 1340 kHz AM frequencies and broadcasts news, talks, interviews, business reports, music. KUOW is very popular in its region – it has around 1 Mio. listeners every month.
