"My life fades. My vision dims. All that remains are my memories... I remember a time of chaos and ruined dreams. And of a wasted land. But most of all, I remember the band. The band we once called "Adventure Set"... To understand who they were, you have to go back to another time. When the world was soon to be powered by the cursed music corporations. The 80's once sprouted and beheld great cities of colors to fuel our imagination. But, they are gone now, swept away... For reasons not forgotten, mighty covetous castes of music barons went to war on our complacent minds and started a narrowing vice which clenched us all. Without us letting them control our music, they were nothing. But we let them. We had no choice then. And they built frighteningly towering castles of straw. But their simple vision of radio greed sputtered and flat-lined. Their CEO's shouted and packaged and dealt. But nothing could stem the avalanche of mediocrity . Our music world crumbled because of them and us. The city radio stations imploded in banality. A black hole of looting, sampling and loss of creativity became our musical landfill. Men and women began to feed and gag on repackaged waste...
On the roads it was a radio air nightmare. Only those mobile enough to scavenge, brutal enough to pillage would survive. The pro tools hacks over took the highways, ready to wage war for an ounce of relativity. And in this maelstrom of decay, true honorable musicians were battered and smashed... Musicians like Adventure Set. The warriors...Adventure Set. Because of music radio's indulgence in the lowest form of greed, Adventure Set lost... everything. "A.S." went nova out, became a phantom of a history, were abandoned and became tied by the rails of an once unstoppable future. They were a band who wandered out into the wasteland... And, maybe, finally it is here, in this free YouTube tribe, that they can return and all of us may learn to live again..."
