Rock Hearts, a group of five veterans of the New England bluegrass scene, performing here at the 34th Annual Joe Val Bluegrass Festival. Featuring Starry Southern Nights, written by their front man, Alex MacLeod, the rest of the band consists of former New England Bluegrass Boy, Joe Deetz on Banjo, Billy Thibodeau on mandolin, Danny Musher on fiddle, and Pete Kelly on bass. *Rick Brodsky has been bass player since the late summer of 2019. The group is excited to announce the pending release of their first recording project in June, 2020. They recorded at Dark Shadow Studios in Goodlettsville, TN with Stephen Mougin and Ned Luberecki. Their first release, 99 Year Blues is due out near the end of March. The title cut, Starry Southern Nights and the cd will be out in June. Here's a peak of a live version of the title track.
