Recorded at Colourfield Studios in Tauranga by Tim Julian and mixed by TUI Award winning UK based Engineer Clint Murphy, the track is a combination of sonic guitar and vocal melodies, layered over hard hitting drums that will take you on a "no nonsense journey" of power pop rock. :-)
When I wrote "Phone Box" I was inspired by the concept and imagery of “The Tardis” from the long running BBC Television series “Dr Who”. My older brother was a big fan so the show was always a regular topic of conversation throughout my childhood. Funny how as artists we often draw on childhood visions when creativity calls.
“The idea that something can be larger on the inside than on the outside really appealed to me and I related this to how we see ourselves in our daily lives.
For human beings to live in harmony I believe we need to communicate and focus on what is on the inside and stop judging each other by what is on the outside”
