Studio Rock ZQ reviews

Information about the radio

WZZQ-FM was one of the first Album Oriented Rock (AOR) stations in the country back in the 60's and 70's. At the time, the owners were more interested in making money with the AM station WJDX. Some kids asked if they could program the FM station, and the answer was yes. It didn't take long before a list of classic rock hall of fame artists could be heard. Lou Reed, Robin Trower, Aerosmith, Pink Floyd, Lynyrd Skynyrd on and on and on it went. It was a special time. Displaying the WZZQ bumper sticker was seen as a banner of being part of something cool, and it was all coming from Jackson, Mississippi. That alone made it truly unique. The Lost Tracks of Rock and Roll can't be WZZQ all over again, BUT we can all enjoy the music even though some of that music aired after WZZQ changed format in 1981. All it takes is just to close your eyes and use your mind and let all those lost tracks of rock and roll saturate your imagination. Who said there was no such thing as time travel?
