What? The Latin "Gloria" of "Ding Dong, Merrily" is now a chorus? Well, it is a refrain heard after each verse. And while it isn't usually sung or played as a stand-alone chorus, it is the most enjoyable part of the popular Christmas carol. And it is excellent practice if you plan on prepping yourself to sing along with Handel's "Messiah." Finally, let's not forget the Salvation Army's long association with the ringing of bells, which is a musical and lyrical motif in this wonderful carol.
