Det er en lokal radiostation, der har eksisteret siden 1988, og producerer alt fra lokale og regionale nyheder, musik programmer, magasin programmer, nationale og internationale nyheder bla. EU stof. Grundet den meget stærke journalistiske kvalitet og indsats, begyndte Radio Mælkebøtten tidligt at give produktioner væk til andre radiostationer i Danmark, herunder de nationale nyheder.
