David Todd began his DJ career in 1971 at Fire Island's Ice Palace. He spinned records at Adam’s Apple and Jouissance and while playing at Manhattan's Cheetah, he became the first working DJ to take a promotion and A&R role at a record label, RCA Records. At RCA, he also mixed 12 inch releases and produced and edited the compilation “Disco Express Vol. 1” together with Carl L. Maults. He partnered with DJ Nick Martinelli to form one of Philadelphia's most powerful remix and production teams. He died in Philadelphia.
