Release date: October 31, 2011
Born in Quebec City, QC and raised in rock of the Stones, Led Zep, AC/DC, Pagliaro and company, the four guys behind Caravane indulge in French slab rock-tinged blues folk who will soon find its place alongside the White Stripes , Black Keys and Gaslight Anthem in the world.
Young guns in their twenties, they have already plied their routes in Europe, Canada and the United States with more than 400 shows to their pedigree as The Hunters, their English-speaking alter ego. Caravane, formed in 2012, are about to swing 11 raw rock songs and assume their native language, which has nothing to envy their American peers.
Inspired by a daily grind where the sound of guitars mingle with that of the party, where the nights are sometimes stretched to become mornings, the tracks of the album are linked as kilometers. Loves, passions, friendships and rock n 'roll then join as the points that connects to display the drawing.
Through the work of achievement and talent of his playing partners, Danahé Côté on guitar, Raphael Potvin on bass and William Drouin on drums, the voice of Dominic Pelletier door with confidence that first game and gives Caravane energy and personality to a rock band that was long overdue. There is no doubt that the percussive sound of the group will make its long way in the Quebec music scene!
The album "Chien noir," will be released in fall 2014 on Ste-4 Music (Select). Recorded with Adrian Popovich at Mountain City studio in NDG (Caféine, Duchess Says, The Dears, Stars, We Are Wolves) and directed by Guillaume Beauregard (Vulgaires Machins) and Hugo Mudie (The Sainte Catherines).
