NOTE: Dick HAYMES (b. 1918 in Buenos Aires, d. 1980 in Los Angeles[) – American singel & actor of a British descent. His heyday was in the United States in the 1940s when he sung and recorded with top American big bands including Harry James, Tommy Dorsey or Benny Goodman and becoming one of the most popular American vocalists of the decade. He was featured in several movies, where he co-starred with Jeanne Crain, Dana Andrews and Betty Grable. From 1944 to 1948, he had his own radio program, The Dick Haymes Show, first on NBC and later on CBS. He was married 6 times (with Rita Hayworth in 1953-56). Harry Warren’s beautiful song “You’ll Never Know” was one of the greatest wartime evegreens, made famous by Alice Faye in the American movie “Hello Frisco, Hello” (1943) and in Europe by British song superstar Vera Lynn, who recorded it for Decca and also performed on concerts for the troops during the 2nd WW.
