Nathaniel Rateliff & The Night Sweats perform "You Worry Me", from their new album Tearing at the Seams, live for Indie88 in a Collective Arts Black Box Session.
Nathaniel Rateliff & The Night Sweats are back with the highly anticipated follow-up to their acclaimed debut album, which produced the certified Platinum single “S.O.B”. The process of writing and recording Tearing at the Seams brought Rateliff and his band closer together by re-establishing their dynamic in the studio.
While their debut was written mostly around Rateliff’s demos, the new record found the entire band coming together at their studio in New Mexico, each contributing to the project in their own way. “I want—and I need—everybody to feel like they’re a part of this band,” Rateliff explained in a press release. “I want them to feel like they’re contributing artistically and emotionally to the experience of writing and creating this music. We’ve all had to make sacrifices to be in The Night Sweats and I want them all to know that it’s worth something.”
Rateliff and the band paid us a visit to perform two songs from the new record, “You Worry Me” and “Say It Louder”. They’ll be back in town May 18th for a show at Massey Hall.
